Nora Stewart
Nora Stewart is the Manager of the California Climate-Friendly School Food Program, where she leads innovative policy and program initiatives to offer healthy, climate-friendly, plant-based and organic food in schools. Nora has worked for over a decade advocating for sustainable food systems. She has previously worked as a Chef Instructor for the Jamie Oliver Food Foundation, and as a Community Health Manager with the American Heart Association to build robust school garden and kids cooking initiatives. In her former role with CHIP’s Farm to Institution Center, Nora facilitated collaborative initiatives around farm to school networking, sustainable foods in healthcare, and farmer business trainings. Nora holds a BA in Sociology and Public Health from Pitzer College.
