Raena is the Senior Fossil Fuels and Lands Campaigner at Friends of the Earth where she works to protect special places and to phase out oil and gas leasing on public lands. Prior to this role, Raena held an outreach position with the Union of Concerned Scientists where she worked to advance science advocacy in our democracy and promote civic engagement within the scientific community during the 2020 Election. Raena has worked as an Americorps VISTA to promote environmental education and conservation in New Mexico and was a previous Friends of the Earth Arlie Schardt Memorial Fellow. Raena received her BS in Biology and BA in Psychology from the University of New Mexico.
